Gray

This picture represents the fact that I do not see the world as ‘black’ and ‘white’. Instead, I see the world as something that is undefined and murky. It is impossible for me to accept that something is either right or wrong or good or bad. I see the world in varying degrees of good and bad. Nothing is ever exact. I see myself and others as malleable. A person is capable of changing, and others are capable of influencing other people as well. There are no clear definitions. People view the world through different perspectives, leaving behind their own impressions of the world. I also wanted to show that I created this image. This, to me, shows that the world is what one makes it. I could have made this strictly black and white. But I decided to do away with those limitations. I am privy to more perspectives if I do not see the world as something that has already been defined and cannot be expanded upon. Seeing the world through this lens is liberating. I am free to question things that other people have already defined. I allow myself the opportunity to be enriched by other people’s perspectives and interpretations of the world.
